Throwback Tuesday? Late As Ever Pictures from NYC

by Tuesday, August 18, 2015

IMG_7185So, I’ve been meaning to post these pictures weeks ago. Forgive me water walkers. I’ve been focusing a lot on details for my first book #WhenGodSaidYes and my blog has felt the effects. But, there will be regular posts again starting this week, because I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully it isn’t an oncoming train :)

As you know, last month I attended #BlogHer15 for the first time ever in New York City, thanks to my good friends at McDonalds. It was everything I expected and more. Seriously, I WILL be there next year.

However, the best part about being in NYC, was it was my husband’s Steve first time in the “Concrete Jungle”. I enjoyed trucking all over the city with him, visiting NYC’s famous sites. Of course we took plenty of pictures, because, it’s New York :)

What was the first thing we did after landing? Have lunch at the famous Sylvia's in Harlem. SO. GOOD.

My favorite thing about Harlem is the many vendors on the street. I picked up this beauty for $10!!!

Our hotel was literally right around the corner from Times Square, which was perfect, because Steve fell in love with the craziness lol...

I'm too mad I didn't get the chance to see Brandy in "Chicago". Ugh.

This flag was flying high in Harlem. I had to snap a picture, because it isn't the Black American flag or U.S.A. flag, but a mixture of both. It perfectly symbolizes how I identify: African + American.
