I’m sure by now most of you have heard about KONY 2012 via, facebook, twitter, etc. My sister told me to watch the 30 minute documentary last week, which now has 7 million views, and I couldn’t help but to cry. The film sheds light on Ugandan war lord, Joseph Kony, who supposedly has 30,000 child soldiers who were forced to join the L.R.A. (Lord’s Resistance Army). After viewing the film I was ready to do anything necessary to help stop Kony, but it wasn’t long before questions surfaced:
-Is this a scam in order for the U.S. to get Uganda’s oil?
-Does the U.S. have plans of going to war with Africa?
-Didn’t Joseph Kony die five years ago?
I believe that Invisible Children is a reputable organization, but we need answers, quick.
