This weekend was pretty cool. Friday night was spent with my favorite professor from college and some colleagues at his beautiful home on the North side of Chicago. We had a chance to reminisce about the good ole days and inform each other about what we’re doing today. Everyone agreed that we should get together more often. It felt good to be surrounded by intellectuals again.
Saturday morning was spent shooting a commercial for Designs by Ruth Quinones. When I was in the process of re-branding myself, Designs by Ruth Quinones was the firm that helped me put all the pieces together.
Afterwards I went home and rested for awhile. I honestly can’t remember the last time I’ve been able to lounge on a Saturday. It felt great. More than enough time was spent watching old episodes of The Office on Netflix.
Later in the afternoon I drove to my favorite Salvation Army on the North Side of Chicago. Lately I’ve been desiring the rose gold Michael Kors watch, but look what I came across:
Isn’t she gorgeous? I only paid ten dollars for this beauty. Michael Kors who?
Afterwards I went out to dinner with some good friends. We had Eritrean/Ethiopian food at Demera. Two of my friends are Eritrean and introduced us to their culture back in college. It was so good to be in that atmosphere again. I forget that experiencing the culture of others makes my heart beat.

Made sure to wear my Eritrean scarf. The traditional name is Nitalot (definitely spelled that wrong)
