On August 28, 2013, the world will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the march on Washington D.C. Focusing on jobs and freedom, the march is mostly known for the event where Dr. Martin Luther King gave his famous “I Have a Dream Speech”.
There are a plethora of events, celebrations, etc. occurring across the entire globe to commemorate this historic moment in time.
As we remember Dr. King’s dream for equality, let’s support a Black owned business on August 28, 2013.
What’s the point?
Many Black businesses have gone under due to a lack of support from the community. Your support and encouragement is needed. Also, if you do a little bit of research you may find some cool new places in your city.
How do I participate?
Use the hashtag #iBuyBlack to show your purchases & support on social networks. Also, spread the word to your family, friends, and social networks. Let’s support Black businesses across the globe!
