Last week Stevie and I road tripped to St. Louis. It’s so funny, because while we were “getting to know one another”, I told him my dreams of driving to STL one day. My plans would include visiting the arch, and the famous “Sweetie Pie’s”, for some good ole soul food. I never told him my plan consisted of him being with me, however, that dream came true
This was my first time in STL. It was pretty cool, but I honestly don’t have to go back. Maybe the energy from the Ferguson/Mike Brown issue tainted my visit, after I realized the truth the media wasn’t telling us about Ferguson. However, I did have a few happy moments. Enjoy!
The view from our hotel room. It was snowing in STL! So pretty, but I hate snow
I finally had a chance to visit Sweetie Pie’s! The food was finger-lickin’ GOOD & the staff was super cool. #BucketList
I also wanted to visit the Old Courthouse. This is where the Dred Scott case was held. The very courthouse that decided African Americans were not citizens of the United States, and therefore could not obtain their freedom. Isn’t it ironic? #Ferguson
And apparently no trip to STL is complete, without eating at Goody Goody. Let’s talk about those cheese hash browns though. Fye.
