DuSable Museum Founder’s Day, Darlene Hill, and More: Weekend Love

by Wednesday, November 4, 2015

I finally had a chance to do something I’ve been yearning to do for a long time this weekend: go to a museum. I feel funny actually writing that, because, yes I went to the DuSable Museum. Yes, it is literally down the street from my house. And yes, I’ve been there more times than I can count, but still… I went. The museum was celebrating founder’s day, by honoring Dr. Margaret Burroughs and the other 9 founders. Check out pics:

P.S. I met news anchor Darlene Hill from FOX, at Peach’s Saturday morning. She is sooooooo pretty & nice!

A few things:

  • We must ABSOLUTELY support our Black owned institutes, especially the ones that seek to preserve our history. To learn more about the DuSable Museum click here.
  • The DuSable Museum has an awesome Harold Washington (1st Black mayor of Chicago) exhibit, that Steve and I thoroughly enjoyed. Go check it out.
  • The museum is free on Sundays, which is perfect for a family outing this winter.

In the meantime… #Goals
